About Me...
My name is Kimmi, and this is my site. It started purely as a place to organize the mounds of information I had collected while planning our families' upcoming FIRST trip to Disneyworld. As I was sorting through the pages and pages of information, I realized that this information would be helpful to others. That is when I decided to put it all online.
My husband and I have a computer networking company here in California. The technology for the site is here at my fingertips, so that part is easy. The complicated part is weeding through the hundreds of other Disney sites, magazines, guide books, and heresay to gather accurate, useful information and putting it into a format that is easy for people to find what they are looking for. As many of you may notice, I update the site daily. I am always fiddling with something, adding pages, moving things and at the same time, trying to make it easier to use. I try really hard to give everyone credit for the things I 'borrow' for the site.
I have 2 children who adore Disney. We go to Disneyland quite often. Our first trip to Disney World was in August of 1999. We had the best time. Disney World was way more than I expected! I have tried to fill the pages of this site with the things I learned during our stay. Our second trip was in the summer of 2006. It was just as great as our first trip!
People ask what I have to gain from all this work I put into the site - Im not in it to GAIN anything! I truly enjoy working on Disneyzone. I have met many wonderful people, and I received invaluable tips from people on this site that really made our WDW vacation wonderful!
My goal for the site is to become the one-stop site for ALL Disneyworld Vacation Planning. I would love for my site to be the first place people come for information, and the place they enjoy so much, that they keep on coming back! With the message boards, it really is a fun place to hang out. I get many e-mails a day from people thanking me for the site, that they come by several times a day to check the message boards. It makes me so happy to hear that, because that's what it is all about!
I hope that something from this site helps you in your quest for the perfect Disney vacation!
Now I must mention, I could not have gotten the site to where it is now without all the help from my 'Disney' friends. You all know who you are - so many people contribute to the site, by spreading the word about DZ, by moderating the boards, or hosting a chat, or writing articles for the newsletter or giving me content for the site! I greatly appreciate everything that all of you do to help DZ!
